MHRD Scholarship 2021 – Comprehensive Details

MHRD Scholarship 2021 has been launched under The Ministry of Human Resource and development. As, it is a Central Sector Scheme it provides various scholarships to students of pre-matric, secondary and higher secondary level. The main objective of this scholarship program is to support the underprivileged students by providing them enough funds to continue their higher education.

These scholarships bring out large number of opportunities for the students and give them a chance to achieve their dreams. MHRD Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

Presidential Scholarship, Shri LankaStudents pursuing undergraduate degree courses can apply for this scholarship, engineering, dentistry and medicine are not covered under this.The minimum age of the student should be below 25 years.

MHRD Scholarship – Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College & University Students

This scholarship is launched by MHRD for the meritorious students who belong to a financially weaker background. It is Central Sector scheme for those students who have passed their 12th standard and now they are studying in college or university.

MHRD Scholarship – National Schemes of Incentives to Girls for Secondary Education (NSIGSE)

This scholarship is launched by the Government of India for the female students below the age of 16 from the SC/ST community. It is a scheme for selected 9th standard girl students who will receive Rs.3000 after turning 18 and passing 10th standard.

Application Procedure

Students who want apply for the scholarship can follow these steps:

  • The form will be provided to the school in form of hard copy. Students or school can fill the form, compile the details of all the students and verify them. Then, send them to the District Education Officer.
  • The DEO will use the ID and password generated by the State Nodal Officer and send to the registered number of DEO.
  • The candidate can provide number of their parents/guardians etc.
  • The State Nodal Officer will use Digital Signature Technique (DST) while submitting the data from state on NSP.

MHRD Scholarship – Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), Jammu & Kashmir

This scholarship is launched by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the students in J&K. This scheme provides support to students of J&K who want go to outside states for better education facilities. The students who are selected can get benefits up to Rs.3 Lakhs.

MHRD Scholarship – National Means Cum Merit Scholarship

This scholarship is launched by Department of School Education and Literacy for the students of 9th standard who have secured minimum 55% marks in their 8th class or equivalent exams. This scholarship provides assistance to the meritorious students who come from weak financial backgrounds.

This scholarship is launched by MHRD for the of B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc or integrated M.Sc or M.Tech students. The students can receive Rs.80,000 every moth along with other benefits.
